My Practice

”Real change comes about through awareness, not effort” - Ron Kurtz

Who I Work With: Often, the people I support are moving through inner or outer transitions. They’re looking to slow down, to reconnect with what matters, and to meet themselves with greater compassion and curiosity. If you're seeking a place to explore your experience more deeply, and to be met with a warm and grounded presence, this may be the right place for you.

My Approach: In our work together, we’ll often return to the present moment - what’s happening in your body, what emotions are stirring, and what parts of you are wanting to be heard and held.I draw on mindfulness, somatic awareness, and depth-oriented therapy to help bring unconscious patterns into awareness. This is not about fixing you - it's about getting to know the deeper layers of your experience, so that you can feel more in the driver’s seat of your life. When we learn to take care of our inner world and practice letting in the nourishment available to us in each moment, incredible shifts are possible.

Some of the work we might do together…

  • Tuning into your embodied responses and learning what they’re trying to tell you

  • Bringing awareness to the parts of you that feel anxious, stuck, or unseen

  • Working through grief, emotional pain, or life transitions with gentleness and care

  • Cultivating a more compassionate and curious relationship with yourself

  • Learning to stay present, even in the midst of uncertainty and change

  • Reconnecting with the natural world as a source of grounding, insight, and healing

About Me

Outside the therapy room, I walk a contemplative path rooted in Buddhist meditation and reflection. I’m deeply interested in the intersection between Buddhist insights and psychotherapy - how the wisdom of both traditions can help us meet life as it is.Many of the challenges we bring to therapy stem from our resistance to the natural givens of life: change, loss, uncertainty, impermanence. The Buddha’s teachings (the Dharma) speak directly to these truths. They offer a path of relating to life in ways that relieve suffering, which makes them profoundly relevant in the context of healing. My approach is also shaped by a deep commitment to the Earth and to working in relationship with the land. I hold a decolonial perspective that honours the First Peoples of this land, and their teachings around interconnection, reciprocity, and responsibility to the more-than-human world. I strive to keep this orientation at the heart of my work and my life.If any part of my journey resonates with you, please reach out and connect. I look forward to meeting with you!

Group Therapy

Body-Centered Psychotherapy

Are you looking for someone to talk to, who can provide a calm and grounding presence? Are you looking for a meaningful therapeutic connection? As a therapist, I view talk therapy through the lens that lasting change often requires a deeper mind-body connection. That’s why I integrate mindfulness-based and psychodynamic approaches, helping you explore emotions, patterns, and experiences on a deeper level. I believe that therapy has the greatest potential when we feel safe enough to explore freely in the presence of another.Counselling sessions offer a space for open conversation and personal growth, available virtually or in office on Friday’s at the Branches in Kitchener, ON.Connect via email at [email protected] to book a free 20-minute consultation.

Breathwork

Walk & Talk Ecotherapy

Walk & Talk or nature immersion sessions integrate the healing presence of nature into therapy. We’ll meet outdoors, either on a trail for a walk or by finding a quiet, comfortable spot to sit together. This approach can enhance mindfulness, regulate the nervous system, and support emotional well-being, with research highlighting the therapeutic benefits of nature connection in reducing stress and improving overall mental health. You can choose between two options: 1) a Traditional Walk & Talk - where we meet in-person at a local park or trail, or 2) a Distanced Walk & Talk - where we connect via phone while walking separately in our chosen environments.Curious to learn more? / $160 per 60-minute session*All new clients require an Initial Consultation and Intake Session before booking their first Walk & Talk.

Humanistic Therapy

Spiritual Counselling

These sessions invite you to explore spirituality as something lived, embodied, and woven into daily life. Whether you’re seeking a deeper sense of meaning, wishing to renew a spiritual practice, or longing to bring more presence into everyday moments, we begin where you are.Grounded in spiritually-integrated psychotherapy, our work honours the relationship between the psychological and the spiritual. Through conversation, guided practice, and reflective inquiry, we explore how healing and spirituality meet for you.Together, we create a space for the big questions: How do I stay true to what matters? Where is the sacred in my life? What supports me when things fall apart? This work is rooted in connection and reverence, and welcomes all backgrounds - religious, interfaith, spiritual-but-not-religious, or uncertain.Curious to learn more?
